Letting Go

Just what does it really mean, "Letting Go."

I want to share a scripture with you today that is one of my favorite scriptures, and it's Philippians 1:21. It says, 'for me to live is Christ and to die is gain'. Paul had learned that the way to true contentment and joy and happiness is to pour ourselves out. Let go of all of our baggage. Lay it all at the cross and pour ourselves out for Jesus, and let Him fill us up.

That is the way that we are destined to live. That is how we were created. We were created by Jesus and in Jesus, we're created for Him, and there is an emptiness if we are not following Him with all of our hearts.

It says in the Bible to love God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength. It's when we do this, is when we are truly content and truly happy.

When we let go of ourselves and pour ourselves out, letting go of the junk by leaving it at the cross, and letting Jesus fill us up with His love. With His beauty. With His peacefulness. With His strength.

So I encourage you today. Let go. Let go of yourself. Let go of the baggage. Let go of everything that has been holding you back. Leave it all at the cross and give it to Jesus. Let Him have it. Then you will truly have peace, joy, contentment, and happiness.

It's only when we completely let go of everything and let Jesus have it, and follow Him with all our heart that we are truly alive.

Shalom
