Hot Or Cold All In Or All Out

Image
Are you hot or cold? Are you all in or all out?  I want to share an example of this. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. Most of us know the story in Daniel, chapter three, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, refused to bow down to a statue of Nebuchadnezzar that he made of himself that he wanted everyone to bow down to that statue and worship him, and they refused.  Now they were taken to King Nebuchadnezzar, brought before him because they refused to bow down. They refused to do what was unjust before God and they chose to make a stand and do what was right at all cost, knowing that it had already been stated throughout the entire land, that whoever did not bow down to the statue was going to be thrown into the fiery furnace.  So they were brought before the king and Nebuchadnezzar was so angry at their refusal that he demanded the furnace be turned up even higher than it originally was. So his men, his guards, turned the furnace to be even hotter. They bound Shadrach, Meshach, and Abedne

The Choice

Image
Today I want to talk with you about the most important time of your life. It's going to come to one thing, “The Choice”.    You're going to come to a point in life where you have “The Choice” to make. What is “The Choice”? It is simply this. Jesus died for us so that we could have freedom. Be completely set free from sickness, from damnation of hell, from sin.    Jesus came to set us free so that we could live with Him eternally. The Bible says no one comes to the Father except by me. Jesus is The Way to the Father. He is “The Choice” we will make.    We have to let go of our self-centered desires and realize we can't do it without Jesus. Why? Because we were created for Jesus, we were created to live with Him, we were created to be a part of life with Him. He was to be a part of us and we were to be a part of Him, and when we are not a part of Jesus, there is an emptiness inside each one of Us.    There is an emptiness and He is the only one who can truly fill that emptine

Do Miracles Still Happen?

Image
Are miracles still real? Do they still happen today or did they stop with the apostles in the Bible?    I want to share an experience that my wife and I had this year, on August 8.    We were going to a location and we were driving down this 2 lane highway. It's very heavily traveled and there is a lot of cars passing other slower ones, that happens on this 2 lane highway all the time.    We were at a certain point on this 2 lane highway, and most of the time, there is either a ditch off to the side of the road or trees or woods, right next to the road. However, we were in an area where there happened to be flat grass off to the side, and trees further back.    When we were traveling in this area, we saw this vehicle that was passing a line of cars down ahead of us. We've seen this many times on this road. The difference is this, when the car that was passing the line of cars came to the point where they could have gotten back over into their lane and kept on going, this car

Letting Go

Image
Just what does it really mean, "Letting Go." I want to share a scripture with you today that is one of my favorite scriptures, and it's Philippians 1:21. It says, 'for me to live is Christ and to die is gain'. Paul had learned that the way to true contentment and joy and happiness i s to pour ourselves out. L et go of all of our baggage.  Lay it all at the cross a nd pour ourselves out for Jesus, and let Him fill us up.  That is the way that we are d estined to live.  That is how we were created. We were created by Jesus and in Jesus, we're created for Him, and there is an emptiness if we are not following Him with all of our hearts.  It says in the Bible to love God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength. It's when we do this, is when we are truly content and truly happy.  When we let go of ourselves a nd pour ourselves out,  letting go of the junk by leaving it at the cross, a nd letting Jesus fill us up with His love.
